Harlequin Sheep

Meet the sheep breed that's the size of a Babydoll Southdown Sheep (less than 24" tall), naturally polled (hornless), has striking color patterns, and is easy to raise and care for!

We are so excited to be the first farm breeding registered Harlequin Sheep in the state of Colorado.

Harlequin Sheep

This breed was developed around 35 years ago by Kathleen Sterling in Virginia. Their small size makes them easy to handle and they require less space/acreage to graze. We love their calm temperament, small stature and gorgeous, varying colors.

Generations

We successfully bred Henry (F2 Harlequin) with our NABSSAR registered Babydoll Southdown ewes and had 3 adorable Harlequin ram lambs born in April 2024 (F1-BD generation).

We also added 3 gorgeous, purebred (AP) Harlequin lambs to our farm, and can't wait to see their future lambs!

Future Plans

We'll repeat our breedings of Trumpet and Beth to Henry for F1 harlequin lambs, due in April 2025.

We plan to expose Jemma and Jacy to Charlie, and hope to have our first purebred (AP) harlequin lambs in April 2025.
